Volkswagen is the new
generation state of the art car. Volkswagen has won “World car of the year
2013” in a car auto show in New York. Volkswagen is 7th generation
car of Golf and it will be soon available for sale in Australia then in rest of
the world including China, US, UK, Europe etc.
There were total 40
cars in competition and hence, Volkswagen won award by beating all of them. Volkswagen
chief executive Mr. Walter de Silva received the award at New York Car Auto
Show. Award announcements were declared at late night with several awards for
cars only.
It should be note that it’s
not first time for Volkswagen to win “World Car of the Year Award” but,
Volkswagen has been gaining this award continuously from past five victorious
years of business. It was Volkswagen’s 4th award of World Car of the
Year from past five years. Volkswagen also had won the award of Golf Car twice.
Volkswagen management
and chief executive are very happy after getting this award fourth time in its
record five years. Volkswagen Chief Executive is Mr. Walter Di Silva and
Chairman of Board is Martin Winterkorn. They told in their address that, by
winning World Car of the Year award for our “Volkswagen” clearly shows that we
care our buyers around the world by introducing new and state of the art well
designed card. Our new car Volkswagen has positioned new standards continuously
from five years. We highly value our quality by putting best of available
resources effectively and efficiently.
Mr. Dr. Martin further said
that Gold is also going to launch a new hybrid car soon. New hybrid car will be
an electric car overall. It will be known as a plug-in hybrid car.
There were total 66
jurors randomly selected from 25 different countries of the world.
According to market
analyst, Mercedes Benz new car a class was highly favored and nominated in
awards ceremony.
Besides World Car of the year award, there were some others
awards too which are as follows;
- “Green Car of the Year” Award for “Tesla Model S Sedan Car”
- “Design of the Year” Award for Jaguar F-Type Car
- “Performance Car of the Year” Award for sports car “Boxster”
